Hotel San Jose
If I could tell you all the reasons why I absolutely love this hotel it would take up too much space. Maybe that’s because it’s design and aesthetic are worth a thousand words—and every penny. Let me explain.
Hotel San Jose is right off Congress Avenue in Austin, TX, in the heart of all that’s cool and hip to explore on any given weekend. What a lot of visitors don’t know is that is boasts an open to the public outdoor bar that’s A-mazing! If you’re even in a mood to grab a refreshing cocktail or need a break from the chaos of Congress, you can pop in, sit down and chill at their patio bar.
Anther reason I love this hotel is that it’s original. Yes, you could stay at a chain hotel while in Austin and maybe save $ per night, but you could stay at Hotel San Jose and have an authentic experience as well as meeting interesting people during your stay.
On that note, while I stayed there last spring, I met the coolest group of people visiting Austin, TX from Canada and anther group from London. Both groups wanted to know all about where to go and eat, while I wanted to know what it was like living in a society built around “royals”. Conversations over frozen margartitas by the pool
